Judith Burns specialises in the field of personal injury litigation including employer’s liability, occupier’s liability, public liability and clinical negligence.
She successfully represents both Claimants and Defendants and has extensive experience in dealing with a range of cases including high value complex injury cases with several Defendants and multi-disciplinary expert evidence. Judith’s practice encompasses those areas frequently arising in personal injury litigation such as MIB claims, credit hire, insurance cover issues and fraud.
Judith also has a wealth of experience in the field of residential landlord and tenant having appeared for tenants, local Councils and registered social landlords.
Judith is an experienced and successful trial advocate having previously conducted many jury trials before deciding to focus solely on her civil practice. Having a depth of knowledge of the criminal law and procedure, Judith has a particular interest in areas of law encompassing both the civil and criminal spheres such as fraud, actions against the police, anti-social behaviour legislation and health and safety at work.
Judith has a keen interest in ADR and In 2007 qualified as a commercial mediator after undertaking training with the Academy of Experts of which she is now a member.
