A federal appeals court has ruled against President Barack Obama’s plan to protect an estimated 5 million people living in the United States illegally from deportation.
A ruling against US President – Barack Obama’s plan to protect illegal immigrants from deportation was over ruled by the federal appeals court. Obama’s administration presented the case that deferring deportation of selected groups of immigrants, including children who were brought to the U.S. illegally was praised by the Texas Governor. The plan was put forward to protect millions of people, their children and families who were illegally living in the United Sates from being deported.
However 26 states challenged the plan in court, with the Republican party criticizing the plan as an illegal over step of its powers.
