Deirdre Purcell has a general common law practice covering all aspects of civil law including personal injury, employer’s liability, landlord and tenant, contract and housing law acting for both Claimants and Defendants.
Deirdre returned to Chambers in January 2008 following two years at the Gibraltar Bar where, in addition to personal injury and contract disputes, her practice included construction law, international jurisdiction disputes and company law issues such as breach of fiduciary duties by company directors. She also acted on behalf of the Ministry of Defence in the UK in respect of claims for general damages brought by personnel based in Gibraltar. Working within a fused legal profession, she gained invaluable knowledge of the conduct of litigation from the outset of a claim, carrying out the role of both Solicitor and Barrister.
